Here is a video guide showing how to remove the ECU from your Peugeot/ Citroen fitted with a security cage.
The best way is to cut a slot on the head of the shear bolt so that you can remove with a screw driver. Another way is to drill the head of the bolt but I personally find this way less successful.

Is the ECU at fault when the temperature gauge goes into red randomly even from cold and tachometer doesn't work at all? Had live data reveal engine rpm is there and temperature is correct? Cheers
I'll like you to advise me on something. I want to swap my Citroen DS4 and put in a Peugeot 307 engine on, is Citroen DS4 and Peugeot 307 ECU the same or do i need to replace it as well? Please explain to me and I'll be glad
I once had to take a BCM out of a 207 cc GT there were wires & plugs galore & it was under the passenger side dashboard it was a pig of a job to get at the module plus I had to list every wired plug individually so they went back in the correct order & not cross the wires over which is a common mistake apparently so I know where your coming from doing these jobs ..
How long will it take for you to complete an ECU remap ? Basically what I mean is when you receive the ecu how many days would it be before I get it back ? Thanks
Hi. I have a 308 1.6 petrol auto 140bhp 2008 model. Just had it mapped to 190bhp. There doesn't seem to be any difference in power to me. However when putting the ecu power cables back in, two of the three slots looked to be the same shape etc. I think they were the first two going left to right. He just took a chance and plugged them in as he neglected to take a pic or make a note of the sequence he took them out in. The car seems to start etc fine. Can I take it that the two slots that are the same can have either lead plugged into them and it won't affect the cars performance? I am wondering wether to maybe swap them and see if it makes any difference but am worried i might damage the electrics.
Do you only do Diesel engines? I have a petrol 307, that needs it's ECU replaced.
Thanks Steven great video
If I change a ecu on peugeot 208 1.6 e-hdi , do I need to write the car key qith the new ecu ?

Would a faulty ECU cause the hazard lights to come on randomly , car on or off , they flash silently like when you open and lock the door with the fob

Will the car start after removing or is a bypass needed?
